Harald Stein is now working for many years in the youth section of basketball. The former national player graduated 1991 from the coach academy in Cologne as basketball coach. Even before attending university he coached the youth team of SC Braunschweig (1981 – 1994).
After this period Stein 1996/1997 was coach of the youth team of SV Oberelchingen.Since 2008 he is assistant coach of the German U16 national team.
During his active career Harald played for Langen, GIeßen, Braunschweig, Ulm, Oberelchingen and Bramsche.
