Power Forward Ilian Evtimov signed a three years contract with DEUTSCHE BANK SKYLINERS. In the season before coming to Frankfurt he played for VidiVici Bologna with which he won the second place of the Italian national Championship.
Before he came to Europe Ilian played on college level in the USA for the North Carolina State University (ACC – Atlantic Coast Conference). 2005/2006 he scored for the team on average 10,4 points, 3,7 rebounds, 2,5 assists and hit 40,8 percent of his 3-points-shots. His qualities an the court gained him the nickname “Gladiator”.
Evtimov who possesses dual citizenship of Bulgaria and France, played in the year 2002 in the French U20 national team.
