"I´m very happy in Frankfurt"

Your best game up to now for the DEUTSCHE BANK SKYLINERS was against your ex-club Paderborn. Were you especially motivated against the old colleagues?

 

Absolutely it was a great feeling to play against his old companions, in the end, I was seven years in Paderborn, but I try to give every game 100 percent. I always try to give everything.

 

Now you are 29 years old. How long do you want to play and what do you want to do after your player's career? Will you return to Paderborn?

 

I look from year to year, but at the moment I feel very good, so I think that I will at least play the next season on the level. Because I have studied business management I think that I will do a job in this area. Whether I will return to Paderborn I can not say yet, because the most important thing for me is to live with my girlfriend. Where this is, I cannot say yet.

 

What are your purposes for the next years? Was or is the national team a subject for you?

 

The last year I was present for the first time at the Play-offs, I would be there with pleasure again. In addition, I would like to win a title sometimes. The national team is no subject for me. I think that I am simply not good enough for the national team.

 

In Frankfurt you do not play so many minutes like in Paderborn. How do you manage this?

 

This is no problem for me, because we have many good players here. Indeed, I must be able to help the team, so I am contented if I play a few minutes.

 

What do you think the team can reach this season?

 

That´s hard to say. If we reach the Play-offs with a good starting position everything is possible.

 

Now you are half a year in Frankfurt. Did your expectations come true?

 

Yes, because the club is very professional and it`s a lot of fun here. I never thought that Frankfurt is such a great city. I feel good here.

 

You take part in the Schul-AG's and the promotion of young people. Why is the Youth so important to you?

 

I think that the sport basketball in Germany lives only by the younger generation. I find it important that many young talents come to the national team. In addition, I find it great to give a few tips to young talents.

 

Are you already looking for the Beko BBL top Four that takes place on the 10th and 11th April in Frankfurt? What do you think you can achieve in the Top-Four?

 

I am very glad about the fact that we can play in BBL top Four. This will be a great event for the city and the club. It can happen everything, because you only have to win two games. These two games can go very fast, however, it can also be a long way.
